If you’re unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to book a free 10-minute consultation to discuss your situation and explore the most suitable service options.
1
Comprehensive Inspection
This is our most detailed and in-depth assessment, designed for clients seeking a full understanding of their home’s indoor environmental health.
Your inspection begins with an exposure history questionnaire, followed by a video consultation to discuss your concerns, building history, and any relevant health symptoms.
The onsite inspection typically runs 5 hours or more, depending on the size and complexity of the property. During this visit, I assess all accessible areas, map moisture, identify building defects, and evaluate the environmental factors contributing to mould or poor indoor air quality.
You will receive a comprehensive written report which includes detailed findings, analysis, photographs, moisture readings, sampling results, and clear recommendations for remediation and prevention.
Example pricing guide:
-
Small apartment: from $550 + sampling (5-10 samples at $140 per sample )
-
Medium family home: from $800 + sampling (8-15 samples at $140 per sample )
-
Large/Complex: requires an assessment but ranges from $1000 + sampling (10+ samples at $140 per sample)
A site specific price will be agreed to prior to the commencement of any audit.
2
Basic Inspection
This is a basic essentials based option which can be used for pre-purchase inspections and to identify potential early stage issues in your property. This does not include the level of detail as a comprehensive assessment but is a useful tool in decision making.
It includes a pre site inspection questionnaire, a 2-2.5hr visual inspection and an email summary of findings.

Pricing guide: from $450 + sampling ($140 each)
3
Post-Remediation Verification
A Post-Remediation Verification (PRV) provides independent confirmation that your remediation contractor has successfully restored affected areas and/or contents to a normal, Condition 1 environment as defined by the IICRC S520 Standard.
This assessment includes a thorough visual inspection, environmental measurements, and analytical sampling to ensure that all moisture, contamination, and mould-related risks have been properly addressed. PRV acts as your quality assurance check—the final step that protects your investment and confirms your property is safe to reoccupy.
Pricing: available upon application, as costs vary depending on the size of the project and the level of sampling required.

Asbestos Identification Sampling
As part of your inspection, I can collect asbestos identification samples from any materials suspected of containing asbestos. This helps support safe renovation planning, informed decision-making, and risk management during remediation or building works.

All samples are submitted to a NATA-accredited laboratory for professional analysis, providing clarity and peace of mind about the presence or absence of asbestos.

This service is priced at $180 per sample.

If the samples are not collected during a mould inspection, a $120 call out fee is applied.
4
Water Quality Testing
This service includes sterile sample collection from your rainwater tank or point-of-use tap, field measurements (pH, EC, temperature)and laboratory analysis for microbial, chemical or aesthetic parameters. Ideal for households with recurring illness, unusual tastes/odours, or suspected contamination.

The Australian Standard for Mould Remediation is my go to for advice on remediation practices. This standard which was published in 2025 adopts and modifies the existing ANSI/IICRC S520:2024, which specifies the procedures to be followed and the precautions to be taken when performing mould remediation in residential, commercial and institutional buildings, and the systems and personal property contained within those structures. The standard is accessible for purchase online: AS-IICRC S520:2025 Standard for Professional Mould Remediation

Surviving mold is Richie Shoemakers website which includes a lot of resources for patients and practitioners especially with CIRS. There is also a link to the VCS test which is an extremely valuable screening tool to detect and monitor exposure to toxic environments for individuals.
